To the Mom in the Back of the Studio

To the Mom in the Back of the Studio

To the mom in the back of the studio —
we see you.

We see the overflowing dance bags, the last-minute costume fixes, the bobby pins living at the bottom of your purse, and the coffee you reheated three times but never finished.

We see the long drives.
The quick dinners between practices.
The weekends spent in auditoriums, gyms, and convention centers.

We see you filming routines with shaky hands because you’re trying to watch through proud tears at the same time.

This world asks a lot from dance moms, cheer moms, and baton moms. So much of what you do happens quietly behind the scenes. And yet, your support becomes part of every performance.

You are the pep talks before competitions.
The hugs after hard rehearsals.
The calm voice during stressful mornings.
The person cheering the loudest even when nobody notices.

And while the athletes may take the stage, there’s a reason they feel brave enough to step onto it.

Because someone taught them how.

Thank you for every mile driven, every costume steamed, every sacrifice made, and every moment spent believing in your athlete — even when they struggled to believe in themselves.

You are part of the performance too.
